Wireless Audio Gateway

Free2move’s Wireless Audio Gateway firmware is a full duplex audio firmware with support for both sides of creating an audio link. As a headset, the firmware can be connected by any Bluetooth® enabled cell phones or PC, whereas booting the firmware as audio gateway enables the firmware to discover and connect to other headsets by itself.

The firmware is controled either via its module’s UART interface using Free2move’s ASCII protocol, or via PIOs connected to buttons for stand-alone functionality without any host processor involved.

Depending on which Free2move Bluetooth® module that is used, the audio is interfaced differently depending on the available interface on that particular module. However, as a general rule audio can always be interfaced digitally via PCM, or analogue if the module has an internal codec.

Except for the audio link, Wireless Audio Gateway may also establish a data-link, allowing for application specific meta-data to be transfered between devices.
